Biblical understanding about Israel
Christians for Israel Uganda is a registered charitable organisation in Uganda. It is led by Evangelist Drake Kanaabo, and a team of dedicated and talented Christian leaders.
Christians for Israel (C4I) Uganda was established in 2008, and functions as the head office of Christians for Israel in East Africa. C4I Uganda works in close cooperation with C4I International, based in The Netherlands, which is the head office of the global Christians for Israel movement.
Christians for Israel now has affiliates and representatives in twelve countries in Africa, and the movement is growing rapidly. The primary mission of Christians for Israel is to educate Christians about God’s purposes with Israel, the church and the nations. Christians for Israel emphasises that the Church has not replaced Israel as God’s chosen people. Instead, while through Jesus Christ God’s grace and mercy has opened up to all peoples, God’s promises and covenants with Israel remain valid, and Christians should recognize the restoration of the nation of Israel as fulfilment of Biblical prophecy which points to the coming of Messiah. All of this has major ramifications for the church’s self-understanding.
In September 2012, C4I Uganda will host a four-day regional conference in partnership with C4I International, to be attended by 50 key Church leaders from eight East African nations. C4I Uganda produces and distributes the newspaper Israel & Christians Today, publishes and distributes C4I educational materials (books, DVDs and brochures), and organises regular educational tours to Israel.
