Biblical understanding about Israel

History Christians for Israel

Christians for Israel was established in 1979 in Holland and Jerusalem under the inspired leadership of the Dutchmen Karel van Oordt and Pee Koelewijn. Since then, Christians for Israel (C4I) has developed into a global movement of local C4I operations. All of these local operations are independent, yet share a common vision: to create a worldwide network of local C4I organizations and partners that are effective at the local level and which pursue the following mission:

Message - to bring Biblical understanding in the Church and among the nations concerning God's purposes for Israel

Comfort - to support and comfort Israel and the Jewish people through prayer and action.

Christians for Israel International was established in 1998 by he Dutch, Canadian, German and American affiliates to coordinate the further international development of the C4I ministry.

Christians for Israel has bonds with many people and institutions in Israel, and has built  a solid network of branches in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific. We are blessed by a growing network of contacts and activities in many other nations.

The founder of Christians For Israel, Mr. Karel van Oordt (82) received in Jerusalem the prestigious award of the World Jewish Congress and the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus.

A few hours before Karel van Oordt was invited by the chairman of the Knesset Mr. Reuven Rivlin, who expressed his appreciation for all the work Christians For Israel has done in the past, is doing in the present, and will do in the future. Karel van Oordt received the award from former minister Rav. Benny Elon, in presence of members of the Knesset. read more
