Biblical understanding about Israel

This day was a gift of God"
Above exclamation was heard throughout the day and in the thankful mails which I (Marie-Louise) have been receiving since.

On Saturday, the 20.11.2010 around 150 people attended the first Israelsymposium organized by the Austrian branch of C4I, "Christen an der Seite Israels - Österreich".

Theme: "Israel, the Church and the Nations - The signs of the times from a biblical perspective."

Rev.Willem Glashouwer, Pastor Helmuth Eiwen (Austria), Rev. Heribert Binder (Austria) and Harald Eckert were the main speakers, speaking on the themes "Israel in times of restoration. Israel today from a prophetic perspective", "Israel and the Church", "Israel and the Nations" and "Books and people as godly landmarks on the way of restoration"

Mrs.Susi Shaked (Pres.of Hadassah Austria) told us the history of the Hadassah Clinic (Jerusalem) in a colourful way and added a delightful "Jewish touch" to the day.

Among the attendants there were members from all denomminations, and what touched everybody was the unity in spirit which was felt especially in worship and prayer.

H.E. Aviv Shir-On, the ambassador of Israel in Austria, had sent a word of greeting, which was read by Marie-Louise. It starts with: "When I heard about the Symposium taking place today, being an Israeli I was moved and being an ambassador I was joyful, that there are still so many friends of Israel, who are willing to openly state their support for Israel" ...The letter ends with "For your dedication to clarify these facts (talking about distorted facts in media etc) for your personal and religious conviction to stand at the side of Israel, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. With your help the State of Israel will be able to overcome the present obstacles, and especially because God will show all of us the right way. Thanks and Shalom" (translated from German by ML)

Glory be to God for this wonderful Symposium, which was the first of its kind in Vienna. Thank you to all C4I members who prayed for us already in preparation of the day and throughout the day from all parts of the world!

Love and blessings to all of you,
Marie-Louise Weissenböck
