Biblical understanding about Israel
The future of the Holy City is the centerpiece of God’s blueprint for history. Make no mistake, God will reorder, restore, redouble, redistribute, reclaim, remove, renovate, recycle, recommit, and redeem until Jerusalem has become the crowning gem of all the cities on earth!
The Jews are God’s covenant people and will remain so to the end of time. By divine agreement, Jerusalem was ordained to be Jehovah’s everlasting city. The heavenly father never intended the Holy City to be a divided municipality. Any individual, group, race, or country attempting to end Jewish control and carve up Jerusalem streets is in direct opposition to the known will of God.
Consequently, Christians must stand with Israel in maintaining a unified status. Never has this stance been more important than in the present hour of continuing attack.
From out of the death camps of Europe and crematoriums of Auschwitz echoes the cry, “Never again!” The young nation of Israel was birthed around this conviction of fire and blood. It is now Christianity’s turn to insist on the same mandate. With all our might we must resist any effort to partition the Holy City. Let our resolve be felt in the halls of Congress, through the corridors of the United Nations (and European Union – ed.) and to every enemy of Israel. Never again will Jerusalem be divided!
When Jesus reigns in the Millennium, He will come as the Son of Abraham, He will possess the land of Israel in God’s name, and He will assume the throne of David. He will be manifested as the Son of man, and as such will execute judgment at the inception of the kingdom and throughout the period of one thousand years. He will be a King of righteousness and King over all the earth. He will be manifested as the Son of God, so all can say, “the tabernacle of God is with men” (Rev. 21:3). He will be Redeemer, Judge, Rewarder of the saints, teacher, King, Prophet, Lawgiver, and Shepherd.
In the kingdom of peace we will see the full manifestation of the glory of Jesus Christ. We will see the glory of dominion over the physical earth, to replace the dominion Adam lost when he sinned. We will se the glory of God in government, to replace every flawed government the world has ever known. We will se the glory of God in the judiciary, in which Christ, as the spokesman for God, will announce God’s will and judge through the age. We will see the glory of God in the temple, in which Christ will reign.
Let’s consider the words of God’s Holy Spirit: “Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him” (Psalm 2:10-12).
The Holy Spirit ends with this promise: “Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” Hear, my friend! The world has not seen the last of Jesus. He is coming again with power and great glory! Jerusalem will see Him, the Antichrist will tremble before His power, and Israel will recognize its Messiah and King.
Today this same Jesus offers you peace and salvation. Embrace Him today. Kiss Him. For tomorrow will come wrath and judgment.
I can think of no better way to end this than with the promise spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes, And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7).
Glory and hallelujah! Even so, come Lord Jesus!
