Biblical understanding about Israel

Sukkot 2017 (Feast of Tabernacles)

September 2017 was a very busy month of taking many older and younger olim to different airports in Ukraine, on their way to live in Israel permanently. All of this took place without significant problems! There was a misunderstanding with one family because we thought that they were departing from the airport in Vinnitsa. Fortunately, this misunderstanding was discovered in time, and the family was able to leave from the airport in Kiev together with the other olim. We double check everything well in advance and again right before we leave, just to make sure that there are no changes.

Right now it’s the Feast of Tabernacles. Simple sukkot are built at all the small synagogues and all Jewish organisations for a lovely get-together and to catch up with each other. When it rains, like it has been for several days now, you just have to manage.

During the Feast of Tabernacles in the next few days, we will package and distribute a total of 2,500 food parcels with eighteen volunteers from the Netherlands and two from Belgium. If the sukkah is big enough, we’ll join our Jewish brothers and sisters for some food here and there.

We as non-Jews get to attend the Feast of Tabernacles according to the prophet Zachariah! It’s a happy feast, a command from the Most High! A whole lot of food parcels have already been delivered (see photos). These food parcels will be distributed through the Jewish communities in Mariupol, Donetsk, Odessa, Kiev (mostly for Jewish refugees), Uman, Chmilnitsky, Ternopol, Kamenets-Podolsky, Chernovtsy and the surrounding villages!

Right now there are already 300 additional food parcels being distributed in East Ukraine. In Vinnitsa, we have already handed out 150 food parcels in response to requests the past few days (see photos).

We will do a great deal of driving! Fortunately, it’s not winter yet, which makes a big difference! But we always pray for protection while we drive, in every season! It’s with His blessing and guidance that we can do this work!

In November, December and January we hope to package thousands of food parcels with many volunteers!

Friendship
The food parcels are regularly distributed among Holocaust survivors, poor families, Jewish refugees, children and the sick. A food parcel is more than a bag of food. It’s a sign of your friendship and your support, a testimony to our Jewish brothers and sisters that they are not alone.

Will you help?
The cost of one food parcel is 10 euros or 11 US $. For this amount we buy wholesale products. The parcels are packed by volunteers and distributed throughout Ukraine. Will you help with one or more food parcels? Your support is desperately needed!
