Urgent update from the First Home in the Homeland

On the first of March, 2017 a new group is supposed to come to the region of the Jordan Valley. We expect twelve families to arrive, but one of them just called and cancelled their aliyah. Fyodor and Maria Pastuh live in Slavyansk, in the East of Ukraine. With the escalation of the war which is happening now (started on the 29th of January) the Pastuh family is totally cut off from the other parts of Ukraine. I could hardly hear the voice of Fyodor, the connection was very weak. The family decided to postpone their aliyah - while Mariya is at home with two their children (5 and 10 years old), Fyodor went to Avdeevka, where most of the heavy fighting between the separatist and the Ukrainian army takes place now - together with other volunteers he is evacuating civilians from the fire. Many soldiers and civilians died in the recent fighting.

Fyodor, Maria and their children just before escalation of the conflict.

Please pray with us for everyone who against his will is enrolled into this war now…

This is how Avdeevka looks today
