Pastors’ Seminar Philippines themed: “Standing With Israel For Such A Time As This.”

At the All Gospel Church, San Fernando City, Philippines, about 180 participants (bishops, District Superintendents and executives, presbyters, pastors and church leaders) from the Provinces of Zambales, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Benguet, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Abra and ILocos Norte attended a one-day Pastors’ Seminar themed: “Standing With Israel For Such A Time As This.”

Pastor Tony Sperandeo, a Jew pastoring a Messianic Congregation near Tel Aviv, Israel was the main speaker. He shared on the relationship between Israel and the Church. He has encouraged participants to stand with Israel because God has not replaced Israel with the Church, but they are two flocks under one Shepherd.

In the afternoon, Pastor Tony Sperandeo expounded Psalm 2 depicting Israel’s threats and challenges as a nation. He reiterated that it is vain to fight against Israel, because in doing so, enemies fight against God Himself. Pastor Lumahan shared on the topic “Why Should Every Christian Stand With Israel”.

Before the seminar ended, Rev. Lumahan has encouraged participants to join the 100 days Global Prayer Call (GPC) from January 27 to May 8, 2015. Participants prayed seven prayer topics namely:
Prayer Topic No.1: Thanking God for Israel (Rom. 9:4-5)
Prayer Topic No. 2: Praying for Humility in the Church Concerning the Jewish people (Rom. 11:18-22)
Prayer Topic No. 3: Praying for the Church to Become a Source of Deep Comfort for the Jewish People ( Isa. 40:1-2)
Prayer Topic No. 4: Praying for the Restoration of Israel (Isa. 31:4-10)
Prayer Topic No. 5: Praying for the Peace and the Glory of Jerusalem (Psa. 122:6)
Prayer Topic No. 6: Praying for the salvation of “all Israel” (Rom. 11:25-27)
Prayer Topic No. 7: Praying that Philippines Continues to be a Blessing for Israel! (Gen. 12:3)

We have a very good feedback from participants. Everybody is blessed. At the end of the seminar Pastor Sperandeo prayed the Aaronic Benediction in Hebrew.
