Pro-Israel manifestation in Amsterdam

On Thursday 17th July, Christians for Israel organised a manifestation on the Dam square in Amsterdam, in support of Israel. About 1,200 people attended the event, which attracted significant media attention. It was organised together with the Centre for Israel Documentation and Information (CIDI) and other Jewish organisations. Speakers included former EU Commissioner Frits Bolkestein.

Christians for Israel (Holland) Director Roger van Oordt:

"We are standing here today because we are not prepared to tolerate that Israel is attacked by her enemies.
We are standing here because the Jewish people has the right to live in peace and security.
We call on the people of the Netherlands to support Israel in her fight against terrorism.
We urge you to protect our fellow Jewish citizens against anti-Semitism".
