Biblical understanding about Israel
We thank God for the amazing C4I training and leadership conference which was held in Kuala Lumpur from 21-24 November 2012. 45 leaders from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Myanmar and Nepal joined the C4I International leadership team which flew in from Holland and Germany. All of these were experienced Christian leaders who are developing the C4I ministry in their nations.
The meeting was organized by the C4I South East Asia Coordinators Wilson Ng and Kenneth Khoo, supported by the C4I Malaysia team. As Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim country, the question of Israel is – from a political perspective - extremely sensitive (for example, Malaysian citizens are forbidden to travel to Israel). The meeting was therefore held behind closed doors. At the same time, the Lord seems to have laid a deep love for the Jewish people on the hearts of many Malaysian Christians, and there is a growing support in the nation for our ministry. We therefore felt that it was extremely important, and a great blessing to all of us, to meet in this Muslim country.
At this conference, an important foundation was laid for the further development of the C4I ministry in the region. For over 10 years, Willem Glashouwer and others have been travelling and speaking in many countries in Asia. C4I branches had been established in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, and important contacts had been made in many countries. But now, for the first time, the leaders and representatives met together in one place for a shared time of teaching, prayer and strategic planning. It was so inspiring to see how the Lord is raising such talented, eloquent and capable leaders across this vast area, who are connecting together in one team, and will carry the banner into their own churches and nations. New C4I branches are now being established in many new Asian countries. It is a privilege for us to be a part of this growing movement.
I wish to thank brother Wilson Ng and the organizing team for making this possible. Below you can read a short report on the conference. Please keep all of these brothers and sister in your prayers.
