C4I appoints new International Chairman

The Board of Christians for Israel International is delighted to announce the appointment of Harald Eckert as its new Chairman.

Following the retirement of Rev. Dr. John Tweedie as Chairman on 31st December 2011, the Board has been reviewing the structure of the Board and the C4I international network of affiliates, and the development of international C4I leadership teams. In September 2012, the Board decided to appoint Harald Eckert as Chairman of the C4I International Board, for the period to 30th June 2014.

Harald Eckert is Chairman of Christians for Israel in Germany (Christen an der Seite Israels), and Chairman of the European Coalition for Israel. He has been a member of the board of C4I International since 2006.
"It is a huge privilege to be able to lead C4I International in this next phase of its development", says Eckert. "One of the greatest challenges we face is to consolidate our national and regional leadership teams. We now have C4I teams in over 40 countries, and the number of local Christian leaders wishing to join the movement is growing rapidly. It is so vitally important to equip and train national leaders, who can bring this important end-times message into their churches and nations.

I am looking forward to working with the Board, Willem Glashouwer (C4I International President), Andrew Tucker (C4I International Executive Director), and the regional coordinators, to achieve our common vision: to establish a global network of financially self-sustaining Christians for Israel affiliates and partners under the leadership of C4I International, each having effective national impact, for the blessing of the nation of Israel, the Jewish people, the church and the nations."

C4I international is a non-profit foundation established under Dutch law. C4I International has four main tasks:
a) To give overall leadership to the global C4I movement in terms of mission, vision, values and beliefs;
b) To equip, encourage and strengthen the C4I affiliates to become/remain effective and financially self-sustaining;
c) To develop and disseminate core educational resources; and
d) To pioneer the bringing of the message into new geographical and language areas.

The C4I Affiliates contribute annually 10% of their ministry income to finance the work of C4I International. In addition, C4I International obtains financial support from donors and sponsors.
