Pray for the situation in southern Israel

This morning we spoke with Liesbeth Luurs, pediatrician in Ashkelon in southern Israel. She lives in a village near the Gaza Strip. She described the situation in her village: "Rockets from Gaza are coming down since 7.45 this morning. Every few minutes, the air raid sounds and dozens of rockets come down. Life has completely stopped here; schools are closed, nobody dares to drive their car and I see mothers running with their children trying to bring them into safety. It's a mess.”

It is hard to imagine what it is like to live under a steady stream of rocket fire. Life in Sderot is disrupted, because people have to shelter from the numerous attacks. The consequence of this reality is that this morning, four Israeli civilians from Kiryat Malachi died.

Please pray:
• For comfort and peace for the family of the four victims in Kiryat Malachi.

• For the thousands of residents in southern Israel, that they may be spared, and that peace may soon return.

• For the people in Gaza who suffer under the rule of the terror organization Hamas. Pray for peace.
