Biblical understanding about Israel

African Christian leaders to visit Israel in March 2010

From 21-28 March 2010, Christians for Israel will lead a delegation of more than 50 Christian leaders from several African nations to Israel.

The delegation includes senior businessmen, politicians and Church leaders. They represent many different African countries, including Uganda, Congo, Kenya, Cameroon and Nigeria.

The delegation will be led by Rev. Dr. John Tweedie (Chairman, Christians for Israel International), and Evangelist Drake Kanaabo (Chairman, Christians for Israel Uganda).

Since 2008, Christians for Israel has established branches and representative offices in several African countries, including Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Congo.
The purpose of the visit is to discover more about modern and Biblical Israel, and to comfort and encourage the Jewish people.

During the visit, the delegation will visit many parts of the country. The focus will be on meeting the people in the land. The delegation will meet with representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Israeli agencies, as well as visiting several humanitarian projects supported by Christians for Israel International, such as soup kitchens, and educational projects for Jewish and Arab children. They will also meet with Palestinian Christians in the land.

As Gentile (non-Jewish) Christians, we are grafted into the true olive tree, of which the nation of Israel are the natural branches (Romans 11). The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is faithful to the promises made to the forefathers of the current nation of Israel. He is bringing them home to the land He promised them as an eternal inheritance.
