Dear friends,

In Acts 3:19-21, we read how Peter and John heal the lame man at the Beautiful Gate after Pentecost. The people are astonished at this, so Peter addresses them saying, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus. Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.”

Since then, the people of Israel have suffered, awaiting the coming of the Messiah. Together with Israel, we eagerly await our salvation. As we are nearing that moment, events like the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 and the recapture of Jerusalem fifty years ago are moments of refreshment. They are reminders of God’s promises of salvation, and they nourish the hope of the ultimate coming of the Lord Jesus. Then all things will be restored.

We also seek to give refreshment to Israel, that our support, our prayers, our visits and our conversations may be refreshing. That we do not come to judge, but come with His mercy and faithfulness, as Isaiah states:
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, your God reigns!”

Israel & Christians Today - August edition

God is on Israel's side. He gave everlasting promises to them; He made everlasting Covenants with them, and everything He promised to Israel, He will fulfil for Israel. Just as all the promises He gave to the Church, He will fulfil for the Church. It never gets out of His hand. Israel has the guarantee of the Creator of heaven and earth for its existence. As long as heaven and earth are in existence, there will be Israel. Says God (Jeremiah 31: 35-37). Read the full article in the August edition of our bi-monthly newspaper Israel & Christians Today.

Prayer Calendar August - September 2017

You may have noticed that 'Israel' is described differently in our Prayer Calendar compared to all sorts of secular publications. The reason for this is that the prayer points for Israel are Biblically based. They are for example not adapted to the current political ideas. As Christians we can be inspired by the Bible, follow Jesus and love the Jewish people.

In Ukraine you often spend your vacation at a camp. When the schools close their doors, the camps open their cabins and tents for a great children’s programme.
