C4I Austria will organize a holiday in Austria for traumatized young people from Israel (Disraelis). "Disraeli" stands for Disabled Israelis. The initiative was launched to give young Israeli women and men who were wounded in the war or in terrorist attacks and traumatized a time of rest through a trip abroad. C4I Austria has invited a small group of Disraelis (8 people and a supervisor) for a 10-day vacation in the spring of 2012.

Christians for Israel Holland appoints new Office Manager
After twenty years of faithful service, Leo van Koesveld will retire as office manager of Christians for Israel Holland (Christenen voor Israël) in Nijkerk, Netherlands as of 30th June 2012. The editors of The Messenger wish to acknowledge all the work Leo has done over the years. He has been one of the pillars of the Dutch organisation, responsible for a diverse portfolio including human resources management, financial administration, event management and office facility management. Leo has an amazing knowledge of Israel and the Jewish people, and has led many groups to Israel. We wish Leo all the best in his retirement, together with his wife Lida.
Leo’s successor is Ben VandePutte. Ben is well known to many of us. Together with his brother David, Ben established Christians for Israel Belgium (he is still the secretary), which for many years operated as a project under the Dutch branch, but is is now an independent non-profit organisation under Belgian law. C4I Ukraine hands out many food parcels
In the past months, C4I Ukraine was able to handout thousands of food parcels. Because of the extreme cold this winter, many additional parcels were necessary. An old Jewish lady gave a small piece of paper to one of our workers in the Ukraine, on which she wrote: "please help our community with food." And because of many sponsors, they were able to help her and many others. The food parcels were a great blessing to everyone who received them.
Online Bible teachings from the Rabbi
Whoever takes an interest in Israel and Judaism discovers something of the rich tradition of Bible explanation that the Jewish people know. He who wishes to tap into this tradition, often needs to search thoroughly. Jewish Bible education isn’t very accessible to non-Jews, as it is often given in the Hebrew language. Rabbi Chaim Eisen from Jerusalem believes he should share this wealth with whomever is interested. At yeshivathsharashim.org he gives weekly online Bible teachings. Read more
Christians for Israel starts to grow in Italy
Andrew Tucker and I visited Italy from 29 February – 3 March for three days of intensive working meetings. Christians for Israel International has been working for over 6 years in Italy. Willem Glashouwer has been invited to Italy many times to speak at conferences, and some of his books are available in Italian. A significant network has been developed. But it is only recently that a local C4I branch has developed. The Chairperson of Cristiani per Israele, Edda Fogarollo, is a lecturer in history at the University of Padova. She is specialized in holocaust studies and het history of Italian/Jewish relations. She came into contact with Christians for Israel International several years ago. Immediately she knew that this was the organizations she had been praying for years to work with. In May 2011 Cristiani per Israele was born. Read more
